Add the rising costs of construction inputs like softwood lumber and fuel, and many employers find themselves in a position where diminishing margins challenge their very existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Competing for talent<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Trades organizations are spreading the message where it resonates loudest \u2013 with the younger generation, as well as their parents. The message is clear: construction is rewarding and well-paying. But changing a generational mindset takes time.
